Test yourself on CM/SM diagnosis
Here is an interesting diagnostic case in Clinician's Brief. It is a quiz for veterinarians about a Yorkie's symptoms. It turns out that the dog has Chiari-like malformation and syringomyelia.

That was interesting, Rod. I think reluctance to climb stairs and scuffing the right front leg would have had me pricking up my ears - stumbling on his right leg was one of Oliver's first symptoms (and with others on CT whose dogs have shown this, it does often seem to be specifically the right leg). But if - like many vets - you've never seen a case of SM, it must be difficult to pick up; Oliver complicated things by developing symptoms of spondylosis at the same time!

This magazine is distributed to general practice vets, so it is a way of getting information about SM symptoms out to the "unwashed masses".
