Dipping ears in the water bowl

Please tell me I am not the only one who hates when my cavalier's ears dip in the water bowl? I have been looking for a smaller deeper bowl that would work but I can't find one. Do raised bowls help with this? I know its nit picky of me but his hair on his ears is really growing and I love them just not the wet ends all the time.

Thanks

I bought a Mason Cash Ceramic Spaniel bowl many years ago which I have found very good for spaniel ears and neither of mine ever get wet ears when they drink.

You need a SNOOD! lol. My breeder makes them but I also think you can buy them online. Theyre a little elasticized hood thing that you put over their ears when they eat. Its both hillarious and adorable. I will have to take a picture of Gracie with hers on and post. My mom is also going to make some for me for christmas, they'd be easy to make I just have no idea how to work a sewing machine :)

Also, I use the small stainless steel bowls and the ears dont actually dip into those, but you will have to refill more often. You might have to find them in the bird or small animal aisle though. They can hold over 1/2cup of food and are about 3inches in diameter.

These are similar to the ones I use: http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2754306

I have a snood, so far Fletcher doesn't really need it very often. Since he is mostly eating dry kibble right now. I don't want him to wear it all the time tho. Its been a very hot summer and I'm filling the water bowls a lot. I didn't know there was such a thing as a spaniel bowl, makes scene tho:bang: They are a little harder to find in the US but I did find them. Thanks for the info.

I have Rose a set of "Spaniel bowls" that work great, though I can't find the exact set now. Here's some pics of spaniel bowls :)
