For those who haven't visited Dr Clare Rusbridge's website (www.veterinary-neurologist.co.uk) recently (or at all), a recent addition to the Syringomyelia section is an excellent drawing of the head of a Cavalier with CM/SM. It is very much easier for laypeople to understand than an MRI scan, and would be a very useful tool for your vet as well, if they have to explain CM/SM to the owner of a Cavalier with suspicious symptoms. If you click on the picture you can get a larger version - and also a close up of what a syrinx looks like, if you zoom in - that you can print out.

Thanks for the information. it is very clear.
I reread the treatment protocol, and the CM/SM document on Dr. Clare Rusbridge's website and do not see any warnings about long term usage of Omeprazole. I thought I saw that warning before. Do you know if this is the latest news that it can now be used long term.
Thanks
Kitty
