    Default The Alan Titmarsh Show

On the Alan Titmarsh show this afternoon he had the vet Steve Leonard and three breeds that were considered to be beset with health problems.
Sharpei and skin problems, The Pug with breathing problems and yes you have guessed the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with Heart murmurs.
No mention of the dreaded Syringomyelia. The cavalier was 8 years old and Steve Leonard said this was a good age as most Cavaliers are diagnosed
    much earlier.
The Vet did add that more and more breeders were health testing and to only buy puppies from health tested parents. Well said Steve.

Yeah, but ... health testing alone does not even begin to solve the MVD problem in the breed. Cavaliers are 20 times more likely to develop early onset MVD than any other breed.
