Hi all!
I've not been on this forum for quite a while now. Lexi is turning 6 this year. Was looking for general opinions from experienced cavy owners...
We are in love with Lexi, she has mild separation anxiety, only really evident when we come home from being out. She scratches at our legs and cries for about a minute or two out of excitement before she calms down and is back to her normal happy self. We've been contemplating adding a new puppy to our home. Not specifically for this reason, but I was wondering for those of you that have multiples, do you feel that they are happier in twos as opposed to being the only dog at home? Lexi is quite a submissive dog, not timid but submissive, we are also a little concerned that the new dog might try to dominate her...
Do you feel that there are any temperment differences between the 4 colors? Would a dog her age do well adapting to a puppy in the house? shes still plenty playful and active. i dont fear any aggression on her end, shes never growled a day in her life. And any general opinions as to whether having a second dog at home would lessen her anxiety when we arrive home? Again, her anxiety isn't anything major, I'd say more just overwhelming excitedness that were back lol
Sorry for the long post!
Thanks for your (positive) comments!
