Well we put her on some pain medication and I'm happy to report she has perked up. She's a bit livelier and more willing to get up and go. Her appetite is still very good too. She had lost quite a bit of weight--close to three pounds--and I'm giving her extra food. She seems to be putting a bit weight back on--her back does not feel as bony. The best part is she seems pretty happy. I'm working at keeping our two big dogs out of her hair so she can relax and be regal.
thank you you all for your kind comments. Tess and I appreciate them.

Tess continues to do fairly well. I say that because she's still interested in eating--she's always been a foodie!--and she's still wagging and joining the other dogs in barking at squirrels and such. Right now she's by my feet having a snooze. I'm hoping she'll be with us for a while.

I'm glad she's responding well. Our cavaliers are such little troopers. They surprise and bounce back all the time. I hope that Tess stays with you a good long while too!
