Upset tummy?

About once a week, sometimes longer,Lexi's stomach rumbles early morning and this means that she won't eat at all,or not until she's provided with a particular thin-bladed grass! Once she's had this, plus a good run she usually perks up later in the day. Just wondered if anyone else has this problem?

Yes! My Rigby has woken up around 6am a few times in the last month and has demanded to go outside and have her fill of grass. She won't eat anything else or pee and she grows more frantic until she gets it! We expected that she would eat the grass, and then throw up, but she never does. We read she may need more fiber and or might just be hungry earlier than her typical breakfast (7:30am). We've started feeding her most of her dinner at 6:30pm, and then the rest right before she goes to bed (around 9:30pm). So far she hasn't woken up for grass, but we're not convinced it won't happen again!

We grow wheat grass for our dogs, in a pot on the back porch, so that if they feel the need to eat greens, they will have a dose of healthful grass untreated with pesticides or artificial fertilizers. We also have found that an eighth teaspoon per meal of Standard Process' Canine Enteric Support -- http://amzn.to/Xomxtk -- goes a long way towards ending those recurring upset stomachs.
