After a few delays, (1st was planned on the 9 then we rescheduled for today cause of the weather) we organized a friendly (gathering) event
here in Malta, in the local Ta Qali dog park (small dogs section).
The turn out was incredible and we had about one hundred different Cavs. My Holly was missing since she had a bad stomach
in the last days.

Here is some photos from the event;

That's a really good turn out, and the dogs look as if they are having a whale of a time! Do some of the dogs go back to imported Homerbrent stock = one or two of the Blenheims have what I would call 'very Homerbrent' heads? And rubies always look so gorgeous in sunshine...

PS Hope Holly is feeling better.

I was reading what is Homerbrent now, so honestly cannot answer that question.

Cavaliers have started to gain popularity in the last 5 - 9 years in Malta, with the last couple of years being very crucial to there increased popularity.

At the moment along with Beagles they are the most breed gaining popularity as pet dogs.

Interesting the most popular color of the event was Tri, followed by Blenhiems (very close), Black and Tan, and Rubies.
Ages varied from 4 months youngest up to 8 years. Most from 1 to 2 years old.

Its lovely to see so many cavaliers in one place. Looks like it was a good time for all. Thanks for sharing the photos.

I was going to comment that I have never seen so many tri-colors in one place! Around me, the dominant color is Blenheim. Great pictures!

Oh wow....

Cavalier Heaven :-D

That looks like a fantastic day.....wish Leo and I could have joined you!!

I'm amazed at the number of cavaliers!!! I live on Gozo, Malta's sister island and the most I've seen here is five, and two of those are mine!

Great pics!

I belong to a small cavalier crazy group but when we get together there are 12-15 cavaliers. Mr. Monster my son LOVES IT. We're getting together next month and I'm not joking about wearing peanut butter covered clothes:) I love to meet pretty much any cavalier

I heard the UK Cavalier club do pretty much an event a month (sometimes even more).
Apart showing up dogs some of these are also social events.

In this event we discussed about making a Malta club for Cavaliers, we will see if this can be done.
What is on the pipeline in the near future is another event for around mid January.

Wow... so many Cavaliers in one spot. How cool is that. When we first moved to Pinckney, MI in 2000 we didn't see any Cavaliers at all. Our vet did not have any that came to the clinic which added to the excitement when we brought Killian in for a visit. Since then we have noticed in a few here and there but to see that many in one spot... again wow!!! At some point I will be able to make time to get registered at a Flickr or photobucket so I can get Killian's pictures uploaded. But until then........... thanks for sharing the pictures. Kathy sometimes has problems looking at the incredible photos as it reminds her of not being able to hug Killian. I guess at some point she will be able to enjoy these photos more than now.
