• If you're a past member of the board, but can't recall your password any more, you don't need to set up a new account (unless you wish to). As long as you recall your old login name, you can log in with that user name then select 'forgot password' and the board will email you at your registration email, to let you reset your password.

A group of concerned Cavalier owners started a petition a few weeks ago, asking the UK Kennel Club to refuse to register Cavalier puppies unless their parents had been health tested. Amazingly, the signatures on the petition are now approaching 10,000! If you haven't yet signed but would like to, please do so at www.change.org/p/the-kennel-club-st...heir-parents-are-mri-scanned-and-heart-tested It doesn't matter where you live, as long as you think that this is the right thing for the UK Kennel Club to be doing. It would be great if we could top 10,000 signatures!

PS If Flanders Kennel Club can do it, there's no reason why the UK one can't - see Rod's recent post!
 
Thanks Mel. The Kennel Club is shuffling its feet on this one, but if nothing else it reminds them that the majority of Cavalier owners are ordinary pet owners, not the minority of show people; we've had some celebrity Cavalier owners signing too and lots of publicity.

It's truly amazing. Many thanks to Margaret Carter who started this initiative and the many, many people who have helped develop and promote the campaign. 10,000 signatures is a HUGE number. I hope this campaign can soon be taken to other clubs and countries. The KC will be feeling the pressure; the petition has had a lot of media coverage as well.
