Got a call today from one of the rescue groups I work with; a family was at the pound, about to surrender a young tri (14 months), which gives him only 24 hours to get a home before death. And the male is entire meaning he'd be a popular choice for backyard breeders or puppy farmers... icon_yikes
Thankfully Marie took him before he even got surrendered as she was there collecting a bunch of other dogs; he's going to be boarded with the woman who home-boards my two when I'm away and she will be perfect for him, to give him a loving quiet environment. She even has another cavalier there right now! She gives a rescue rate, which is great. I would have had him here at least overnight but have to be out this evening and didn't think that would be pleasant for him. Though better than a steel cage at the pound.
Think I have a home sorted for him too, via another rescue friend. After he gets neutered.
Now there's another down in the country; might be a cavalier mix; the pic is too blurry. Listed for free in a small ads paper as a 'good watchdog' free to good home!! icon_yikes So I want to get him out of there, check him out, get him safe and rehomed.
Anyway that's all from Irish cavalier rescue! If I can get some piccies, will add them in.
