Hi Everyone
Have had cavaliers for 30 years. used to have a houseful but only have two at the moment plus a springer spanel called Alfie.Cleo and Beano are mother and son, both rubies. Recognise a few names here from other lists
I'm not a great "poster" but will chip in now and then. Also many thanks to Karlin for putting up the link to the EF site.

Hi Barbara,

I only joined yesterday myself, but thought I would welcome you too.

I am awaiting 2 foster Cavs for a rescue, one has possible EF. Will know more when we have the reports from his vet.

Hi Karen
Welcome to you too !
I'm really sorry to hear about another one that's possibly effected but would be very grateful for any info. will look forward to hearing from you.

I just read your intro and wanted to say thank you for taking these two, you are a very special person to take this on. I'm sure you will find lots of help and support here.

oh no, not special at all.

I was initially offered the eight year old to foster as the owner said she was having the other put to sleep. I said that was a terrible shame as he is supposed to be happy in himself, Barbara (of O.C) then managed to get the owner to reconsider PTS and to let someone take care of him. She agreed, then a few days ago changed her mind again as she found out I was the fosterer and was quite far away. At one last ditch attempt to save him being PTS I said that it if she would change her mind, then I would take the poorly boy and his older sister and would keep them together, to save them being homed seperatly which would only distress him further. Thank fully, she agreed.

I will let you know the outcome of the vets report and my further vets report. I am hoping to persuade the rescue to let me fundraise in order to get the little boy a specialist as apparently he has only been given a few months.

icon_welcome Barbara, lovely to see you on here.

We'd really appreciate you sharing your considerable knowledge and experience when you have time, and would like you to enjoy spending time here too :D

Newbie !!

hey everyone, my name is Evan and i live in Kildare, Ireland. I'm really interested in getting a Blenheim King Charles female (pup) but don't know where to look as this is my first dog. I was hoping someone could maybe give me information on getting in contact with any local breeders in my area.

Oh if anyone has any name suggestions i would be happy to take them!

Hi Barbara, Karen and Evan. I am new here too and have been made to feel very welcome :D

Maybe we could all help you to fundraise for the little fella, Karen. How much do you think you'll need?

I very often sell bits and bobs on eBay and would be more than willing to donate for his care.

My Maxxy has got to have an MRI scan and probably loads of treatment. I've had him since a puppy & so made sure that he's always been insured. I did have a Rescue dog for a time though and dread to think how much it would have cost me if it had been her - she was too old to insure :(

Donna & Maxxy :)
