If there are ever any cavs that need fostering/temporary home down around my part of the country i would be happy to take them in.

Thanks and welcome to the board! Why don;t you send me a PM reminding me of where you are based and what your home situation is (eg cats, dogs, kids, fenced garden or not etc). This is useful for knowing what might suit. I can often arrrange transport (there's a "K999" transport system of volunteers and also, we send dogs Fastrack by train sometimes too). Dogs only come up from time to time but usually need a fast placement especially if they are coming from the pound like the last 8 yr old dog -- he was on 24 hour death row as he was a surrender, not a stray. Most foster priods are 2 to 4 weeks, sometimes less than two weeks.
