Puppia Safety Harness - good for SM doglets...

I've just ordered the new Puppia Safety Harness for Rupert.

It was recommended by Adelaine, her friend's dog has Syringomyelia {SM} so she knows about the condition, and when I told her that Rupert was affected, she suggested this harness.

They are a bit more expensive but definitely worth it, especially as you do not have to pull it over their head. It was designed for dogs with delicate necks such as the Italian Greyhound.





They come in this brown houndstooth check or pink houndstooth check.

Rupert is 35cm around the neck and 52cm around behind the legs so wears an XL - this would adjust quite a bit bigger though. Rupert weighs about 23lb.

He is very comfortable wearing it..although not too happy about having his photo taken in this one!!

That is the Puppia harness I had ordered for Max! It was way to large for him so she reordered a Large for him. He weighs about 13 lbs. So happy to see it on your Benheim. Max is a Blenheim(sp?). It also comes in Black and white check. I like Black on Max but thought the brown and Cream would be very handsome and warm for the winter. Ours should be arriving tomorrow. Just in time for more snow.

I'll have to find a US Source. how much more did it cost?

I got this through Adelaine on E-Bay. I asked if she could get it and the price. blazenskyycafe@blazenskyy.com. I don't remember the price (but it was better than any other place that I saw) because I also ordered the regular Puppia with it.

I bought this harness for my SiânE, as she is one of the larger Cavs, she was boarder line with the other puppia harness on her neck size. I love it the only problem I found with it is in the summer it can be a bit warm for them to wear and the reflective strip can blind you a bit if they catch the sun with it. Apart from that I have found it perfect.

I love that! I especially like the reflective part. Right now we have a reflective leash with a flashlight on it as well, but you can never be to safe in these dark winters.
I need to find one in the US!

I love that houndstooth pattern. Very stylish. Nope, Rupert doesn't look any too happy in that first picture (he has the same look on his face that Jake gets when I dress him up ) he's kind of telling you to take a hike (in polite terms)

Thanks everyone. There is a matching lead too, which also has the reflective strip, and can be used for two dogs as it has clips at both ends, or for tying one dog to something {temporarily and only where safe!}

I think our Roops and SiânE both look very fetching Nicki, roops looks better with his earrings than without them, why didn't you take one of him wearing Puppia and earrings????

Maxx has oak leaf earrings in earlier, very fetching I must say but by the time I had grabbed the camera, the darned soggy thing was on my sofa
