Collar/harness to stop them pulling?

Hi

My two cavaliers pull quite a bit and I thought i'd try a halti/canny collar to see if they help. Can anybody recommend which is best for a cavalier?

They're both 3 and a half, one weighs around 9.5kg, the other about 11.5kg.

Thanks
Hayley

The easy-walk is the best one out there for pulling - it's a front clip so when they try to pull it stops them by pulling them back towards you. I think both will need a size medium. Lady is 7.2kg and is at a weird stage in between the small and medium, where the small is too small and medium is too big - ugh! But based on those weights i think M would be perfect.

Halti's are not a great option for cavaliers. Their muzzlse are quite short and they slip off many of them, and because of predisposition for syringomyelia, I wouldn't advise using anything that pulls on their heads/neck.

The front clip harnesses are the absolute best for pulling. There are a couple of brands but I like the Sense-ation/Sense-ible or the Easy Walk. :)

Easy Walk worked for a bit with my puller, though eventually we went to the Sporn Non-pull Harness, which worked quite well.

Overall, we stopped the pulling behavior through a lot of positive training exercises. Good luck, and stay patient!

Does it stop pulling as well as the Easy walk? Im skeptical due to the clip on the back, But I've been having sizing issues with the easy walk. Lady has been getting hot spots under her arms from the size small and the medium is way too big. This one looks more padded and if it will stop the pulling I'm willing to give it a shot!

The Easy Walk didn't work very well for BellaMia.....she is a huge puller! I'd be interested in the Sporn harness too. How about their sizing chart? Is it accurate? The other thing it mentions it that you put it on over their head......is this an issue.
