Overnight puppy training

Hello,

I’m going to be getting a cavalier King Charles September time. I just want to ask, due to the separation anxiety what advice would you give to train the dog overnight to sleep in the next room?

Hi and welcome! Puppies will always have some anxiety as they're suddenly alone after having been part of a litter. I'd recommend the setup advised by the trainer Dr Ian Dunbar and his free book download After You Get Your Puppy -- he shows how to set up a create and puppy pen and all the steps to take in welcoming a puppy and initial training. He also has made Before You Get Your Puppy available for free too. Both are excellent guidebooks.
