Can anyone recommend a type of harness that is suitable for SM sufferers as I am struggling to find one that is nice, comfortable and that puts no pressure whatsoever on the neck area??

Any advise?

I use front clip, or step in harnesses (Trixie makes a nice padded step-in one or also in the US, the basic Petedge one), or some like Puppias. I also just saw this:

Generally I use the front clip harnesses as these stop the dogs pulling too. Both my SM dogs seem pretty comfortable in them. I have the Sense-ible harness.

Any step in harness will leave the neck uncovered which is what you want. We still get some air scratching with the step in but this is the best there is.
