Just wanted to say that I have a mason pearson brush that is 45years old.
It was bought for me when I was born! That gives away my age. Then usedfor my daughter and now for my four dogs !
I call that goo value for money! It is still going strong!
:rotfl: that makes my little pocket brush of 15 years a mere baby!! But as the old saying goes "You get what you pay for""
There are some folks who trawl the antiques markets looking for the old fashioned silver backed and tortoiseshell backed hairbrushes, the sort you used to get in a dressing table set? They are highly sought after, I was gifted a tortoiseshell backed brush many years ago by a close friend and recently turned down £50 for it!! It is of too high a sentimental value!
