I've not mentioned Rubys dodgy eyes on here before but as long as ive had her-13months-shes had "dodgy" eyes. this has always been on & off but recently-5weeks-theyve been constantly bad. We've been to the vets twice a week every week i think, he's been wonderful but can do no more so on weds we go to Ripon (about 2hours away)to see an eye consultant, hopefully to get a diagnosis. When i say dodgy i mean keeping them closed all the time & on walks maybe a squint, rubes is on 3 different eye drops each twice a day. she is obviously in discomfort as she hasnt her full vitality at the moment & rubs her little face on me.ive always had to remove the "smush" from her eyes several times a day, she is so good about this but seeing her as shes been recently has been heartbreaking. on the worst days she has bumped into lamp posts& 1 evening she fell off the chair as she must have expected the footstool to be in front of it as it normally would be & landed straight on her chin poor darling. the vet doesnt know if she is going blind because she's keeping eyes closed hence the bumping. he thinks dry eye but thinks she is young to have this, she's just turned 5 at our guesstimation. the smallest of eye peeping brings great rejoicing in our home right now. i know our beloved breed suffers from eye problems but its the not knowing thats difficult. also the vet had her in & sedated her whilst he tidied up any stray eyelashes but it made no difference. So here's hoping for a good result on weds, keep :xfngr: for her please everyone, Gx
