Hi folks,
Seems like a while since we've been online, it's just been a bit of a slog at the mo for our Jake,
After getting the all clear from his test results when everything seemed to be healing up nicely, a secondary wound opened up under his dressing, mainly through postitional probs, his dressing had rubbed the skin raw at the knee joint, and it just wont heal, he's on his umpteenth course of anti-biotics, as this second wound is now infected, he's on twice weekly trips to the vet to have his dressing changed and the wound checked on, the vet was happier with it today than he's been in a while, so we're hoping that they've got the infection under control, and it can start to heal properly,
It's amazing how Labradors have this incredible tolerance for discomfort of any kind, he's had 2 open ulcerated wounds on his leg, the 1st from his op, and this secondary one, and had vets and nurses poking at them....cleaning etc......and he's never even curled a lip at anyone, he's just an absolute gent, a real teddy bear
