Thanks again for all the get-well wishes for Annie. She's been to the vet three times now because we were concerned that her eye wasn't getting better. But it's improved a lot in the past few days. The lump has gotten much smaller and her eye seems a lot less irritated. I think the antibiotics are doing the trick.
She's such a good little patient. She's had a few shots, had her blood drawn for a heartworm test, had her temperature taken twice, had the area around her eye shaved and a needle stuck into the infected area, and she hasn't even whimpered.
We definitely think she was stung by a wasp right under the eye. We found a big wasp nest near where Annie spends time outside. Let's just say they won't be bothering her again.
