A couple of weekends ago my husband and I took the dogs to Gettysburg. We love visiting there and the town is very dog friendly. We stayed a wonderful hotel that accepts dogs and I was pleasantly surprised to find dog treats waiting in our room. We were on the third floor and at first the dogs weren’t too crazy about the elevator but by the time we left they were old pro’s!
Gettysburg also holds a special meaning to me because that is where we decided we would get a Cavalier and came up with the name Chamberlain.
One morning while my husband slept in Chamberlain and I took a walk around downtown Gettysburg, we were let into almost of the shops and he loved being the center of attention. We passed by a store that sold old fashioned clothing and I saw something in the window that I HAD to have……
A Union Soldier hat for dogs. And guess who wore it all around Gettysburg for photo shots. It HAS to be Union because my husband I are from the North, Maine to be exact.
But before I get to that, here are some pictures of the dogs in the hotel room....Chamberlain & Sasha.
Here are some shotsof Chamberlain striking a pose for me. He looks like a puppy in this picture instead of an almost 11 month old boy.
My husband took this "Senior Yearbook-like" picture of me and Chamberlain.
